Pennsylvania Prison Society
is the most active organization showing concern over the conditions of confinement for prisoners in the state of Pennsylvania.Founded May 8, 1787 as the Philadelphia Society for the alleviation of the mysteries of public prisoners.
The new executive director has placed more emphasis on advocacy and activism. It is her hope that through public education and interaction with lawmakers, we will be able to affect long-term systematic systemic change that will benefit everyone within the system. The present society intent is to sponsor a very serious set of lectures concerning life sentences without the possibility of parole.

Gateway to reentry
Tracy L Fisher, CEO"The Face of Reentry" of Gateway to reentry mentoring program is part of the process of preparing inmates for the early stages of reentry.
The returning citizens attend weekly workshops that include the 10 steps to reentry the blueprint for staying home.
The workshops incorporate job readiness skills, self employment/entrepreneurship, anger management, parenting skills, and a host of other topics that address proven methods for a positive outcome. Our vision is to reduce the rate of recidivism.
